Empire carpet picks up day laborers, - anyone - off the street to install carpet.In our case, the 1 empire employee came in with 2 very shady looking guys who gave me the creeps instantly.

They made a huge mess, installed the carpet incorrectly, and robbed us. Yes, that is right ROBBED US. When the empire employee went to drop them off, they held him up and took every cent he had as well. You can verify this with the Hillsborough NJ Police Department, the incident happened 11/07.

The Hillsborough PD investigated, fingerprinted our home, and found out that the guys Empire picked up to install our carpet were GANG-BANGERS they found outside of the Tunnel in Jersey City (not a safe area).

Empire refused our calls, took no responsibilty, but still sent us the bill.NEVER-USE-THEM!

Monetary Loss: $4000.
