My dispute is with Empire today flooring! I've been a loyal customer for over 20 yrs they've probably laid like 7 floors through the years for me but no more!!

In Sept I had my kitchen and living rm done they damaged over $2000 to my cabinets , damaged molding changed the layout without asking me. It's been a nightmare I have before pictures taken 2 days before (someone told me to take pictures of my wood floor underneath if every I was to sell my house I'm very grateful to her). I've disputed with Chase( and got nowhere) and they also sold me not what I asked for. I have pictures witnesses etc..

I can't believe how I've been treated. My husband works 6 days a week we have also recently found out we were very overcharged. We are good people my husband an ex volunteer fire chief / first responder / Sgt. in the Marine core!!

We NEED someone to help us . I called BBB they said they have over 2,600 complaints but with such a huge company I'm just a bleep! Please make this nightmare ( there's so much more to this story) prevent this from happening to someone else!! Please help us.

I will try to keep this story short. I was told by my salesman, Tim Irvine, by phone, text, and email, that I would be a morning installation.

The installer would be there "between 9 and 9:30am." I live 90 minutes away from the job, and I have a 2 year old at home, so I asked my brother to meet the installers to approve of the materials and give them access to the building. I would show up later to approve of the job and write the check. They never showed. At 10am, I called the company.

I was told that I was set for an afternoon appt between 2 and 4pm. I insisted this was not the case. George Johnson, the installation coordinator, looked at the contract and confirmed that I had a morning install, but there was nothing he could do to remedy the situation. I asked my 75 year old mother to go wait for the installer at 2pm.

I would show up later to pay for the work, when my wife got home to care for the baby. At 4pm, when no-one had shown up, nor called, I told my mother to just leave. Later, someone from Empire called to tell me that the installer would not be showing up. My day was wasted.

My Mother's day was wasted. My brother was an hour late to get to work. Customer service is non existent, or just terrible. No communication between sales and install department.

No communication between company and customers.

My business is clearly not important to your company. I will spread the word to all my friends, fellow landlords, and other contractors that I work with...Empire treat their customers like dirt!!!!!!

NEVER AGAIN! If I could give negative 5 that would be the score they deserve.

Customer service non existing, calls never answered, and never returned. Installers barely speak English, so if you have any point to get across, good luck. unless you habla Espaniol. Installation day.

Arrived late. Removed old carpet and pad, never bothered to vacuum. Left staples in the sub-floor here and there, i can feel them when walking barefoot. Worked till after 9pm.

In the result: seams coming apart after one week. On the stairs they left 5mm gap between edge of the carpet and wall trim. Two different crews sent in after to fix things up, came and gone without doing a thing, well they took pictures and spoke on the phone in Spanish. Then informed me they can't do anything because they don't have carpet with them.

That happened TWICE.

42 days They coming back tomorrow, and promised third time is going to be a charm. Will update.

EMPIRE SENT TWO GOON'S TO OUR HOME WHO COULDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH.BEFORE WE COULD STOP THEM FROM PUTTING THE WRONG CARPET DOWN IT WAS DOWN. I AM ON DISABILITY AND DIDN'T APPRECIATE THE DISRESPECT.I CAN SEE HOW PEOPLE ARE SO PISSED OFF THAT THEY JUST WANT THE WORKERS ?

OUT.DISGUISTING WAY TO DO BUISNESS.WE HAD THE SALESMAN BACK TO SEE THE DAMAGE ,HE APOLOGIZED AND TOLD US THE COMPANY WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT,TO NO AVAIL !

THIS IS A TERRIBLE WAY TO RUN A COMPANY AND I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE I KNOW OR COME IN CONTACT WITH KNOWS HOW BAD THIS CO. OPERATES.

Problem with no one showing up for installation

Once again empire has failed me. Been getting the run around from them for weeks finally scheduled my install for today which is a reinstall and got a call at 730 to tell me that the installers did not show up to work today so my job is cancelled.

I am beyond pissed off. I have called them for the past hour to speak with a manager was told no one in to help me. I have to wait till Monday. Guess small claims court is next.

I can't believe no management is available. This company truly doesn't do the right thing..

The installer came installed the carpet went great. Went to install bathroom and kitchen and told me I was sold incorrect flooring he could not do the job.

The installer was GREAT. Then after having given the sales rep $2600 cash and job being done before 2:00pm the installer was sent back to get $1700+ from me. The person on the other end of the phone was very unprofessional talking to me about money that was clearly already given to empire. All this while dealing with my mothers death the day after order was placed put so much added stress.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE. WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!!!

These people are the very definition of slimeballs. I went with them mainly because I was on a very tight time frame to get carpeting installed before I moved into my new house. My salesperson, Jolene D. is the very embodiment of a used car salesperson. She tried every tactic to get me to commit to buy from them immediately (the let me call my manager to see what we can do about price scam, etc). I had to get carpet installed within a week, so begrudgingly, I went with them. Also, there "half-off" promo is a total scam. They don't give you any prices on the carpeting upfront, so you have no idea what your getting half-off of. The carpet that I supposedly got "half off" of was approximately the same price of similar spec carpeting at REGULAR price in a big box store. There's no deal at all there.

The idiots they sent to install the carpet were clearly subcontractors and didn't give a *** about customer satisfaction. They were supposed to call with a timeframe for installation, which they didn't, and just showed up at my house.I hadn't even moved in there yet and lived a half hour away so they had to wait there for me and then had the audacity to give me attitude about it.

The best part is that on my stairwell, I still have 6 stairs that have old carpeting on them. Why you ask? Well, because they did not bind the carpeting on the one side of the last 6 stairs, which is what I had paid for. They actually tried to fold over the carpeting and staple it!! Neither of the contractors spoke English well, so communicating with them was a nightmare. I placed calls to my salesperson, Jolene D., who didn't respond to repeated texts, or phone calls until I finally threatened to cancel the order. No delivery, no commission I guess. That got her greedy hands dialing the phone.

She said they could have the carpet bound and then come back in 1-2 weeks just to finish the remainder of the job. Well, a month out, I still have stairs with old carpeting.I have repeatedly called, texted, and emailed Jolene, "who will be there for you throughout the entire process" to no avail. Once this piece of work gets her commission check, she leaves you high and dry. I eventually got a hold from someone in Customer Service who scheduled the work to be completed, supposedly yesterday, and no one showed up. I tried calling Jolene once again, and shockingly it went to voicemail, and I am sure the message will not be returned.

Avoid Jolene D, and avoid Empire like they are the plague. They are a "take your money and run" operation. Jolene is a disgraceful and unethical salesperson and I am guessing those values are the corporate values of Empire Today, spread from the top-down.

Bad quality

I have laminate flooring installed in August of 2015 started to see spaces between the planks. I called them in February of 2016 and they came out to look at the floor.

They told me it was due to the color being so light that I would always have this problem there were quarter inch Gap between most of the planks. The installer replaced about 5 of them. I called customer service the next day and they told me that if I had any more problems to please contact them. Unfortunately I went into the hospital to have chemotherapy so I haven't been able to contact them again.

The floor has been getting worse I contacted them 2 weeks ago and they sent somebody out last weekend. The installer said it's not my fault it's the floor the floor apparently was discontinued and they no longer make it they had a lot of problems with it. The installer then called his boss who I spoke with and she told me that the floor was discontinued because it contain formaldehyde in it which is not part of their policy they do not like to carry products that contain formaldehyde. Advise me to call customer service the next day and get somebody here to choose a new color and they would install a new floor.

That's all okay accept I'm very annoyed that I was never told that the product was discontinued back in February when they were here because that's what it is discontinued. I set an appointment up for today I had a window up between 5 and 9 I advise them to please call me one hour before they arrive so I can be home. I called this morning to confirm this appointment confirm my address and my phone number and let them know to please call an hour ahead once again I was told the installer was informed. I left work I have gotten no call it is now 9:30 p.m.

and still no call and no show. I called them at approximately 6 o'clock and they were closed. I am beyond aggravated and frustrated I want this floor out of my house considering it does contain formaldehyde whether it's a little bit or a lot it doesn't matter I chose this company because I was very worried with the health issues that I have to make sure that I wasn't getting any products that can be contained formaldehyde. I want a new floor installed immediately and I want to be compensated.

I will be calling them tomorrow this is wrong and poor customer service. I also asked customer service to please mail me the information on the amount of formaldehyde that was in the floor he said he was putting it in the mail that was over a week ago and I still have not received it. If Empire does not do the right thing I will be calling my lawyer and letting them handle it. This is the last time I'll ever use or recommend Empire Carpet to anyone.

The customer service department and Empire Carpet does not stand behind they're so called ads. I am beyond aggravated at this point.

Poor customer service

I had a terrible experience with Empire Carpet & Flooring. EC made beautiful drapes for my home, I wanted the drapes refreshed/cleaned, the EC repre that had worked in my home, removed my drapes from all windows to take to EC's cleaner,

he stole my drapes.

They were not returned. I have made comlaints to the courts, NY Attorney General, govenor and I have not given up.

I paid dearly for drapes. I would not recomend Empire Carpet & Flooring, read the complaints.

Poor customer service

Although Empire Today has great deals for carpeting and flooring their costumer service was absolutely horrendous. They called Friday to confirm our carpeting installation and said that they would call Saturday between 7am and 9am to tell us when they would install the carpet.

9:30 passed by and I was very confused why they didn't call. So we called costumer service and were on hold for a half hour, only to find out that they didn't have the carpet. They said that they would call back to find out more but another 2 hours went by and there was still no call. I called customer service again another person answered and said that he could reschedule our installation but no one knew if they even had the carpet.

At this point I was so angry and frustrated, I tried calling our sales consultant but he wouldn't answer so I drove to the place.

Long story short I 100% wouldn't go to this place, I would stick to locally owned businesses that actually give respect to their customers.
