This is the 2nd complaint I have put in on Empire Today.They required me to put down a deposit of $50.00 which the salesman said was refundable if I had to cancel.

Well, I did cancel within the allotted time period and was told my deposit would be mail within 10-15 days after that date. It has been a month since that call. I contacted them again twice after that and was told the check had been mailed the first time and that someone would call me the second time. I have received no check and no one has contacted me.

What a bunch of losers!!!

I will discourage anyone from ever getting involved with this bunch of crooks.I will be filing complaints with the BBB and consumer advocates in our local area to get my refund back.

I gave a deposit on my American Express on June 5 and cancelled because of their not being honest about finance charges up front.I cancelled within the 3 day period which they acknowledged.

I waited a week to call. They told me the refund was credited to my credit card on June 16. Today, June 30, it has still not been credited to my account. I called again and after being on hold for 15 mins, I was given a reference # and was told I would be called within three business days with an update.

Ridiculous!I called American Express and they are going to handle these crooks for me.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.The refund checks were sent to the address of the sales appointment and were returned as undeliverable.

We corrected the address and the refund checks were mailed out on June 18, 2010.We apologize for the delay in receiving the refund.
