That is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I purchased a laminate floor back in 2006 because supposedly they had the only floor with a 25 year warranty and you couldn't get a better floor at Home Depot or Lowes...etc.

The salesman stated this floor is so great, you could spill a glass of water on it and leave it for 5 days and it wouldn't hurt it. The water would just dry up. They were installing this in bathrooms and kitchens, it is so good.

Well guess what???!!! It was manufactured by Shaw and now that the floor is cracking open and swelling they are blaming it on "a user related issue of topical moisture".

If this was the great floor their deceptive salesman said it was going to be, it shouldn't have a "topical moisture issue". I was told only a flood in my house would cause a problem.

They didn't even have the decency to call me and explain anything. They sent out 2 different inspectors and then sent me a copy of the report.

I have called 3 times since then and they keep taking messages and promising a call back but that never happens.

Don't buy from Empire Today!! They are one big ripoff!! The salesman are deceptive telling you their product is different from anything else on the market. I paid 2700 more for a floor I could have gotten from Home Depot.

Monetary Loss: $5700.
