I have had hardwood installation with Empire in the past that went without a hitch. I contacted Empire once again to finish the other areas (had to pay off the first area). I was not told it was a 2 day job. The 1 person arrived without any tools to begin the job - he was going to remove the carpet only.
I took a day off from work to have this job done. I contacted customer relations who left a message for the installation manager to call back - which he did not do. 5 hours later I contacted him and the installation is scheduled for this weekend. There has been no compensation for my time wasted waiting for a job that was not begun.
I will give the person that showed credit - he did not remove the carpet because he didn't want the sub flooring exposed due to splinters. This is not good customer service!
