No issue with salesman, carpet, price or overall installation. At final install, the installers were kind enough to cut the remaining scrap for use as a floor mat.

Problem: the cuts were made on an existing area rug and this rug now has 3 two foot knife cuts - the rug is ruined. No call back from salesman and no response to Empire customer service complaint after their '3 day' response period. No response to and resolution of complaints speaks volumes. Regardless of price or initial satisfaction, I would not use or recommend Empire to anyone.

They really dropped the ball by allowing the consumer to know that their interest is only in negotiating the initial inflated price, using installation timing to help justify why the price can be lowered, getting paid promptly and jamming through overall performance surveys.

Apparently, follow-up and customer service are not part of the process. I am out an area rug.
