Every appointment that is made with Empire is extremely important to us. Since we don't have any retail stores, this is the only way that we can show customers our product lines and service. I scheduled a free in home estimate with Empire Today.They gave me a 2 hour window for when someone will arrive.

10 minutes after my 2 hour window ended, I called. I spoke with a representative who got in contact with the technician who was supposed to come to my house. He told me that the technician said that I live in too bad a neighborhood for them to come to my house. No one ever called, they just decided that my husband's POLICE OFFICER salary cannot afford us a better home.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

You got off easy. If anyone does not show for an appointment without a good excuse, there is something wrong with that provider and any subsequent transaction will try to make you regret ever calling them. Will they show again if not coming when you are most receptive to parting with your money?

My neighborhood is actually better than a lot of neighborhoods in the city.We've lived there for several years and have NEVER had a problem.

The worst thing that ever happened was some *** teenagers that stole our address sign. So, do they just not service the city of Philadelphia?

If they won't go to my neighborhood, they must not go to any neighborhoods in the city.Regardless, I will never do business with this company and I will discourage anyone I know from doing business with this company.

You're the one that doesn't know what the f*** you're talking about, I'm sorry but don't take it out on them just because Billy Bob Joe in the local store can't seem to do anything right, or howbout Steve the salesrep who can't make a single measurement correctly.Get a reality check!

:grin Wow. Well, I lived in a crappy neighborhood too. Empire has some female sales reps. They won't go into some neighborhoods, and I don't blame them. However, someone should have contacted you and rescheduled your appointment. I assume you called that wonderful 888 number when you did call to find out what was going on. Well, I'll tell you the same thing I've told others...

Wow. All this bashing... Do any of you know that Empire-Today has a 'call center' full of mexicans that don't know what they're talking about or how to direct a call? Well, that's pretty much what you'll get when you call that 888 number.

Call your local office. Not the freakin call center. You'd be shocked that the company isn't as bad as the call center would lead you to believe.

I'm sure that Empire Today doesn't care that your husband is a cop. and I'm sure they were not disprespecting him. Just the neighborhood which is not your fault. But you have to remember, there are people out there that will not go into an area like yours or mine. That's just how it is.
