I had Empire install laminate and carpet in my home in November of 2010. The carpet and laminate were installed but the installers did damage to my home in several locations, including getting ink of my carpet, broken molding around a set of doors and most critical they damaged the french doors leading to my deck. It takes a lot of strength now to close the french doors now since the door has to be lifted up and pushed hard to close. In addition, when it rains I now have water leaking into the kitchen from the french doors. When I complained about this Empire sent the same floor installer to fix the door and he did not have the skills or tools to fix it. He instead ripped out the weatherstripping from the door and now I have cold air coming through the doors as well. All attempts to have Empire resolve the damage they did have failed. They are telling me to pay for a repairman to fix the damage they have done.
